Museum Pass Program
The Olson Memorial Library's Museum Pass program is made possible by a generous donation from the Sundberg family. Reserved passes should be picked up at Olson Memorial Library Information Desk. Who can reserve a pass?
You will need a valid Olson Memorial Library Adult card to make a reservation. A valid card is one that has less than $10.00 in current fines. Expired cards will need to be renewed prior to registration.
Passes will only be distributed to the same person who made the reservation. You cannot pick up a pass for a friend or family member.
How do I reserve a pass?
Passes can be reserved by calling the Information Desk at 715.479.8070
Is there a charge to reserve a pass?
There is no charge to borrow a museum pass.
How many passes can I reserve a day/a month?
The Children’s Museum pass can be reserved one time per month.
How far in advance can I reserve a pass?
Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.
How many people are admitted to the museum per pass?
The membership permits 2 adults and 4 guests for each pass for one day’s visit.
How do I get the pass?
Passes may be picked up at the library beginning at 3 p.m. the day prior to the “Day of Use” and need to be returned by 11 a.m. the day after the “Day of Use” (e.g. if the “Day of Use” is Friday the pass can be picked up beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday through closing on Friday and returned by 11 a.m. on Saturday.)
Monday - Saturday: 10am - 5pm
Sunday: Noon - 5pm
The Olson Memorial Library is not responsible for museum closings due to weather, refurbishment, or special events. *Please contact the museum prior to your trip to confirm hours of operation.*
If the library is closed on the day that you are scheduled to pick up your pass, please contact the library the day before to request an early pickup.
Monday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Tuesday-Thursday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
What is a “No show”?
If you do not pick up your pass by the “Day of Use” it will constitute a “No Show”. If the reservation is canceled the day before or the day of the “Day of Use” it will also be considered a “No Show”. Because demand for passes is high, two “no shows” in a 60 day period may result in a 2 month block on museum pass reservations.
Can I cancel my reservations?
Reservations can be canceled up to two days before the “Day of Use”. You can cancel by calling 715.479.8070. If the reservation is canceled the day before or the day of the “Day of Use” it will be considered a “No Show”. Because demand for passes is high, two “no shows” in a 60 day period may result in a 2 month block on museum pass reservations.
Do I need my library card to pick up the pass?
Yes, you will need to present the library card that you used when reserving the pass to pick it up.
Where do I return my pass?
Return passes to the library Information Desk or the book drop by 11 a.m. after the Day of Use (i.e. if the “Day of Use” is Friday, return the pass by Saturday at 11 a.m.) If the library is closed, your pass will be due by 11 a.m. the next day the library is open. Passes need to be returned on time so others may use them. Thank you for your consideration of others who are waiting to use the pass.
What is the late fee or replacement fee?
The late fee for all passes is $10 a day. If a pass is lost or damaged, the replacement fee is $50.
