Let’s make… Japanese paper earrings AND make a box with Origami! Do you know Japanese paper? We call it “WASHI”. WASHI is durable and beautiful!! Come to this workshop and learn how to use this craftsman crafted paper to make a unique pair of earrings for yourself. Use origami paper to make a box to put your new earrings and and take home with you! Instructors: Both instructors are visiting Eagle River and live in Japan. A local friend who lives in the area will help with language barriers and translation, if needed. Earrings: Yukiyo Terada (Japanese paper craftsman) Origami box: Miuki Yamashita (Silk screen artist) Ages: Middle school to Adults Limited to 20 people (please sign up at the library) Participation fee: $30 each for materials Location: 203 N.
