Steven Jacobs is a first-generation American and the son of Holocaust survivor Mendel “Max” Jacobs, who lost his parents and nine siblings during the Holocaust, and Rachel Jacobs, who was born in Tel Aviv.
Raised in Skokie, Illinois, a community rich with survivor stories, Steven developed a lifelong commitment to Holocaust remembrance. Now retired after a successful career in human resources, he shares his father’s powerful story at libraries, schools, and community events. Through heartfelt and reflective presentations, Steven honors his family’s legacy and helps ensure the lessons of the Holocaust are never forgotten. Currently Steven lives in Waupaca, Wisconsin, with his wife, Beth.
